Advertising and Affiliate Disclosure
Active Health Guide earns money from affiliate commissions. This page explains exactly how that works, what it costs you, and what it does not buy.
The disclosure, in one paragraph
Some links on this site are affiliate links. If you click one and buy, the retailer may pay Active Health Guide a commission. You pay exactly the same price — the commission comes out of the seller's margin, never out of your pocket. This is how the site is funded, and it is the only way the site is funded.
Which programmes we take part in
We participate in affiliate programmes operated by ClickBank, BuyGoods and MaxWeb. These are the retailers that process the payment for the products we cover. Each review names the retailer that will appear on your bank statement.
What the commission does not buy
- It does not buy a place on this site. We choose what to review. No brand has ever paid to be included, and we have researched products at length and then refused to publish them.
- It does not buy a score. We are paid the same commission whether we score a product 4.2 or 3.8. There is no financial reason for us to inflate anything.
- It does not buy silence. Hidden subscriptions, contradictory refund pages, missing doses and fake advertising campaigns are published where you can see them, at the top of the review, not in a footnote.
- It does not buy approval rights. No brand sees a review before publication, and none can have a published finding removed.
The evidence, not the promise
Anyone can claim independence. Here is the published record:
- We scored ProstAfense 3.8 and published the $169 monthly subscription hidden in its funnel.
- We opened the Memopezil review with the deepfake advertising campaign reported by Forbes and NBC, rather than with the sales pitch.
- We researched ProstaBliss and never published it, because its label contains no prostate-specific ingredient. There was a commission available on that page and we did not take it.
Where you will see this disclosure
At the top of every review, above the first link and before any recommendation, and in the footer of every page on this site. We put it where you read, not where you would have to go looking.
Why we do it this way
Under the United States Federal Trade Commission's Guides Concerning the Use of Endorsements and Testimonials in Advertising (16 CFR Part 255), any material connection between a publisher and a seller — a commission included — must be disclosed clearly and conspicuously, close to the recommendation it affects. We follow that standard because it is the law, and because a reader who does not know how a site earns money cannot properly weigh what it says.
